Privacy policy
Effective 30 September 2026. PluckIt is made by UpLevel Technologies LLC.
This policy describes what PluckIt actually does today, not what it might do later. If a practice changes, this page changes with it.
What we collect
Your account
Your email address. We use it to sign you in with a one-time link and to contact you about your account. PluckIt has no passwords.
If you join our newsletter
Your email address, used only to send you PluckIt news and updates. It is stored in our database (Supabase). We do not share or sell it. Unsubscribe at any time by using the link in any email we send, or by writing to support@pluckitapp.com.
What you save
The text, links, images, and documents you choose to save, along with text we extract from images and documents so that you can search them. This is the content of the product: you save it deliberately, and it is stored so that you can retrieve it.
When you save a link, our servers fetch that web page once to read its title, description, and text so that you can search for it later. The request identifies itself as PluckIt, follows no further links, and is never made to private network addresses. If the page cannot be fetched, the link is still saved.
Your devices
An identifier for each device you sign in on, so your library stays in sync across them.
Your subscription
Whether you have an active subscription, and its renewal state. Purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive or store your payment card details.
What we do not do
- No third-party analytics or tracking. The app ships no analytics, advertising, or attribution SDK.
- No advertising, and no selling your data. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioural profiling.
- No location tracking. PluckIt does not request or collect your location.
- Your saved content never appears in our logs. Server logs record identifiers, timings, and error codes — never the text, titles, filenames, or search queries you save. This is enforced in our code review and by an automated check that fails the build.
Who processes your data
| Service | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Your account and the database holding your library |
| Cloudflare | File storage and the servers that run PluckIt |
| OpenAI | AI features: summarising and classifying saved items, and building the search index |
| RevenueCat | Subscription status |
| Apple | Payment processing for subscriptions |
About the AI features. To generate summaries and to make your library searchable by meaning, the content of an item is sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI acts as our processor and does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. If you would rather this did not happen to a particular item, do not save it to PluckIt.
Images and metadata
When PluckIt generates a preview or thumbnail of an image you save, that generated image carries no camera metadata — including GPS coordinates — and an automated check rejects any preview where location metadata survived.
The original file you upload is stored as you provided it. If a photo you save contains location metadata, that original retains it. It is stored privately in your own workspace and is not published anywhere; but we want to be precise rather than claim more than the software does.
Security
- All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS.
- Content is stored in private storage that is not publicly reachable; the app retrieves your files through short-lived, signed links.
- Each workspace is isolated in the database at the row level, so one account's queries cannot reach another's data.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep what you save until you delete it.
You can delete your entire account from Settings in the app. This deletes your saved content and your account, and it cannot be undone. If you would prefer we do it for you, or you want a copy of your data first, email support@pluckitapp.com from the address on the account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can delete everything yourself in the app; for anything else, email support@pluckitapp.com and we will respond within the time your local law requires. We will not charge you or degrade your service for exercising these rights.
Children
PluckIt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our processors operate in the United States and other countries. Where personal information is transferred out of your region, we rely on our processors' standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
